Fairfax: A woman is dead after she was hit by a car Monday night in Lorton, according to authorities. Fairfax County Police say that the incident happened on Route 1 in the area of Lorton Road and Gunston Road some time before 8:30 p.m. Officers were called to the scene where they say they found the woman and had her taken to the hospital.
