A 9-year-old Virginia girl has died after she was hit by a pickup truck while sledding in Thursday's winter storm. Chesterfield County Police said the girl, whose name has not been released, was sledding down a driveway when she slid into the path of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
A man reportedly shot himself during a robbery in Alexandria overnight, according to a city police statement. Three suspects allegedly broke into an apartment in the 3800 block of Executive Avenue and one of the men inadvertently shot himself in the lower body, police said.
