Responding officers found a 39-year-old Newport News man who had multiple gunshots to the upper body.
A tractor-trailer overturned just before 5 a.m. Friday where I-295 meets I-64 in Short Pump. Virginia State Police said the tractor-trailer overturned 30 to 50 yards down the embankment. They confirmed the male driver was trapped inside the overturned vehicle and made it out safely. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries

A man who fled from officers in a stolen armored military vehicle surrendered Tuesday and is now in police custody, according to Virginia State Police. “As of 9:40 p.m., the driver of the armored personnel carrier had stopped the vehicle and surrendered to Virginia State Police.
