Police in #NewportNews say a man was shot and killed last night on 33rd Street. According to a release, Shotspotter alerted officers to the shooting. Officers found the victim with gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene

Seven injured in a mass shooting overnight just blocks from the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk. Two of the people shot have life-threatening injuries, the other five are expected to survive
Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 7000 blk of Central Park Cir in Alexandria. A female was taken to the hospital and pronounced. A man was also taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Preliminarily, this appears to be a domestic-related incident
